Hair Perming course

Currently, less than 20% of all hairdressers in today’s market place are confident in providing hair perming services. This traditional art form of hairdressing has nearly vanished from the market, but there has been a significant growth in the demand for perming services, especially among men. However, this growth comes with its challenges, particularly due to the increasing popularity of hair coloring and bleaching over the past 30 years. To address this, we offer an intensive six-day perming course spread over six weeks.

 Our comprehensive

Our comprehensive hair perming course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to confidently achieve fantastic perm results while ensuring the safety of your clients. Throughout the course, you will learn through demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and practical block work. The curriculum covers various topics, including the art of a great perm consultation, conducting essential tests prior to perming, different perm winding techniques, and the outcomes they can achieve. You will also gain insights into selecting the right perm solution for different hair types and choosing the appropriate rod size to create different looks.
Theoretical aspects of perming techniques will be explored, focusing on how our perm solution affects the hair structure. Additionally, you will learn when it is necessary to decline certain perm requests that cannot be safely achieved. Emphasis will also be placed on the importance of proper aftercare, including the use of suitable shampoo, conditioner, and styling products.
By the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to apply your acquired skills on your own model for a perm. Upon completing the course, you will receive a Nicky Oliver certificate, further enhancing your professional credentials.
